Filing your income tax return just got a whole lot easier and cheaper. Jio Financial Services Limited has rolled out a new ITR filing feature on its JioFinance app, letting users file their returns online for as little as ₹24. The service is powered in partnership with TaxBuddy.
In an official statement released on Monday, the company said the new feature offers both self-service and expert-assisted options, starting at just ₹24. The goal? To make tax filing simple, smart, and affordable for people across India.
The ITR module comes with two key tools, Tax Planner and Tax Filing.
Tax Filing: Designed to tackle common tax headaches, like deciding between the old and new tax regimes, and ensuring you don’t miss important deductions under sections like 80C and 80D. Users can choose to file on their own or get expert help. Self-filing starts at ₹24, while expert-assisted filing begins at ₹999.
Tax Planner: Helps you look ahead by projecting and reducing future tax liabilities. It offers personalised deduction mapping, evaluates Housing Rent Allowance (HRA), and compares tax regimes so you can pick the most beneficial one.

Once users file their ITR through the app, they can track their return status, monitor refunds, and get alerts for any tax-related notices. The entire process is guided step-by-step, making it easy even for those filing taxes for the very first time.
