Ola Electric has announced the start of mass deliveries of vehicles powered by its indigenously developed 4680 Bharat Cell. The S1 Pro+ (5.2 kWh) is the first model to feature this in-house battery pack, which offers higher range, stronger performance and improved safety. With this move, Ola Electric becomes India’s first company to fully own both battery pack and cell manufacturing within the country.

An Ola Electric spokesperson said the response to the S1 Pro+ has been extremely strong. Deliveries are now underway, with customers already riding India’s first scooters powered by Ola’s own 4680 Bharat Cell. The spokesperson added that this marks an important milestone not only for the company but also for India’s ambition to emerge as a global electric vehicle hub. With a nationwide rollout planned soon, Ola Electric aims to take this new technology to customers across the country.

The S1 Pro+ (5.2 kWh) comes with a 13 kW motor, delivering standout performance with a quick 0–40 kmph acceleration in just 2.1 seconds. It offers a certified range of 320 km (IDC in DIY mode). Riders can choose from four riding modes—Hyper, Sports, Normal and Eco. On the safety front, the scooter features category-first dual ABS along with disc brakes at both the front and rear.

In terms of comfort and design, the S1 Pro+ gets an upgraded two-tone seat with supportive foam, body-coloured mirrors, a new die-cast aluminium grab handle, rim decals, and a wider range of colour options. Buyers can choose from Passion Red, Porcelain White, Industrial Silver, Jet Black, Stellar Blue and Midnight Blue.
