NHPC Gets 250 Crore under Mega Insurance Policy

NHPC Limited has received 2nd on account gross payment of Rs 250.00 Crore under Mega Insurance Policy against the insurance claim of Business Interruption (BI) loss caused by a flash flood that occurred on 04.10.2023 at Teesta-V Power Station (510 MW).
The loss amounting to Rs.1005.10 Crore (Rs.517.02 Crore towards Material Damage loss and Rs.488.08 Crore towards Business Interruption (BI) loss) has been further revised to Rs.1075.97 Crore (Rs.538.70 Crore towards material damage and Rs.537.27 Crore towards BI loss) and intimated to the Insurer.
NHPC Last Quarter Reported 3052 Crore in Revenue and 1069 Crore in Profit which was Lower than the Previous Year’s Revenue and Profit.
