China has urged an immediate halt to military attacks on Iran as tensions involving around Iran Israel War

Beijing warned that if the situation keeps escalating, it could harm the global economy and create instability in international trade and energy markets.

Over the past week, Chinese officials have repeatedly called for restraint and dialogue. According to Beijing, the ongoing strikes risk spreading the conflict further across the Middle East and could disrupt global oil supplies and shipping routes.

“Power Does Not Mean Justice”

Speaking during China’s annual political meetings in Beijing, Foreign Minister Wang Yi said the current conflict should not have happened in the first place.

He stressed that using force is not the right way to resolve disputes, adding that “a strong fist does not mean strong reason.”

China has raised three main concerns regarding the situation:

Respect for sovereignty:

China believes that military strikes carried out by the United States and Israel do not have approval from the United Nations Security Council. Beijing says such actions raise serious questions about international law and respect for a country’s sovereignty.

Protection of civilians:

Reports that a girls’ school and a public broadcaster were hit in Tehran have also drawn strong criticism from China. Officials said attacks on civilian buildings are unacceptable and should not happen during any conflict.

Domestic political matters:

China also said leadership decisions in Iran are internal matters. Beijing stressed that outside countries should not interfere or threaten Iran over its political changes.

Economic Concerns Behind China’s Stand

Apart from diplomatic concerns, economic factors are also important for China.

China is one of the largest buyers of Iranian oil, and any instability in the region can quickly affect global energy markets. The recent tensions have already pushed up the prices of Brent Crude.

Wang Yi warned that the world should not return to a situation where power decides everything. He also highlighted the importance of keeping trade routes open, especially the Strait of Hormuz, which is a key route for global oil shipments.

Any disruption there could affect energy supplies for many countries.

China Sends Envoy to Push for Peace

China is also taking diplomatic steps to help calm the situation.

Beijing has sent its Special Envoy for Middle East Affairs, Zhai Jun, to the region. He is expected to hold discussions with leaders in Saudi Arabia and other Gulf countries.

China hopes these talks will help reduce tensions and build support for peace in the region.

For now, Beijing continues to call for dialogue and a ceasefire, warning that a wider conflict in the Middle East could have serious consequences for the global economy and energy markets.
